Description

Bio:
Russell Gould joined the Wyss Institute at Harvard in 2022 as a member of the predictive bioanalytics team. He supports various data science projects across the institute, leveraging his B.S. in mathematics and M.S. in machine learning and bioinformatics from Oregon State University to bring unique computational experiences to the Wyss.

Previously, he has worked on genome mining using classical machine learning, applying topic models to RNAseq data, and building and streamlining complex machine learning pipelines.

At the Wyss, he manages a variety of computational projects, including microscopy image analysis and data extraction, bulk and single-cell RNAseq analysis and modeling, and applying machine learning and deep learning to enhance computational design and discovery.
